紅心王后打消了給柴郡貓斬首的念頭，并將愛麗絲介紹予鷲頭飛獅認(rèn)識。
鷲頭飛獅帶愛麗絲去找假甲魚。
假甲魚雖然沒有什么可悲的事情，卻感到極度失落。
他訴說自己曾經(jīng)在學(xué)校做過一只真正的甲魚。
然而，鷲頭飛獅打斷了他的話，好讓他們能夠一起玩游戲。

國王和王后引用第42條規(guī)定：身高一英里以上者必須退出法庭，但愛麗絲否認(rèn)并拒絕離開。
最后，王后和愛麗絲在一陣爭吵以后，下令砍掉愛麗絲的頭，但愛麗絲并不怕，她認(rèn)為他們只不過是紙牌。
