地球是一個(gè)神奇而又美妙的星球，孕育出無數(shù)生靈。其中，就有可愛、美麗、兇猛的生靈。他們讓這廣闊無垠的地球增加幾分神秘，卻又難讓人難以琢磨。他們有共同的一個(gè)美名——?jiǎng)游铩?/p>
瞧，在一個(gè)沒有太陽(yáng)的南極里，雄帝企鵝正遭受著地球上極端環(huán)境的考驗(yàn)。氣溫躍至零下七十?dāng)z氏度。黑暗中它們互相緊緊地依偎、擁抱著。但他們?yōu)楹我羰卦谶@里？因?yàn)樾鄣燮簌Z要守護(hù)“生命的至寶”------企鵝卵。在黑暗、寒冷中，雄帝企鵝要用毛絨絨的腹部為它們保暖。雄帝企鵝在缺少水源和食物的情況下，也要死死堅(jiān)守四個(gè)月，才能見到陽(yáng)光，他的寶寶才能孵化出來。這考驗(yàn)也絕對(duì)是動(dòng)物界最痛苦的，他們承受著巨大的饑餓，也要小心翼翼保護(hù)著他們唯一的小生命。帝企鵝們生命力十分頑強(qiáng)，他們用這般毅力等待陽(yáng)光，等待小帝企鵝的出世。我想，動(dòng)物也是生命，它們會(huì)象人一樣有思想，情感，為了寶寶，可以頑強(qiáng)的堅(jiān)持不吃不喝，團(tuán)結(jié)一致一起報(bào)團(tuán)保暖，一起等待寶貝的出生！他們對(duì)兒女的愛像人類 ?一樣偉大！

《planet earth》是BBC制作的大型紀(jì)錄片，共分為11集，依次為：南極北極、山脈、淡水、洞穴、沙漠、冰雪世界、叢林、淺海、季節(jié)性森林、深海，每集48分鐘左右，從陸地到海洋，從地底世界到世界屋脊，在橫廣與縱深上全面細(xì)致的講述我們生存的這個(gè)地球。紀(jì)錄片是一種獨(dú)特的電視文化形態(tài)，以紀(jì)實(shí)手法還原真實(shí)世界，在所有的視頻形態(tài)中是我比較喜歡的一種，因此也常常拿來用于教育目的，從本質(zhì)上說《行星地球》最終目的是為了教育地球公民珍惜我們的生存環(huán)境和家園，然而從表現(xiàn)形式看，影片中并未出現(xiàn)說教的成分，而是用震撼人心的畫面和娓娓道來的解說給人心靈的震撼，引發(fā)反省式的思考。在我觀看到高清模式的第一刻便知道這部鴻篇巨制絕非短期之功所能完成，事實(shí)上，紀(jì)錄片的拍攝成本高達(dá)2500萬美元，攝制組走遍了7個(gè)大洲，用了5年時(shí)間拍攝而成。這是這些背后的努力與高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)使得《行星地球》一誕生就使得屏幕上的許多其他影視作品相形見絀。
想要完全的記住這11集的內(nèi)容并不是一件容易的事，但是在觀看時(shí)總會(huì)有一些畫面深刻的定格在你的腦海中，啟發(fā)深入的思考:

太陽(yáng)在北極升起，一只北極熊露出試探的腦袋，而后從洞穴里爬出來，它的身后跟著兩只可愛的小北極熊。然而沒有玩耍和享受的'時(shí)間，母北極熊饑餓難耐，現(xiàn)在的急迫任務(wù)是獵捕到足夠的食物。這個(gè)部分讓我想起后面的一頭公北極熊，它已經(jīng)在海水里游了很長(zhǎng)的時(shí)間。但是仍然沒有獵捕到食物，萬般無奈的它不得不冒險(xiǎn)去攻擊海象群，幾次努力之后都沒有成功，可憐的北極熊只能默默等待死神的來臨，它趴在那里無望的眼神讓人看了很心疼。這些又讓我想起最近看過的報(bào)道：獵食越來越艱難的北極熊竟然同類相殘，公北極熊攻擊小北極熊，以此補(bǔ)充能量，看到那張圖片，大熊嘴里叼著幾乎只剩下頭的小熊，雪地上是濃重的血跡。
北極熊遭遇如此困境的原因：全球氣候變暖的影響，北極冰川加速融化，原本要靠踩著浮冰來覓食的北極熊現(xiàn)在不得不提早回到岸上，覓食的不足讓北極熊變得越來越瘦，體內(nèi)脂肪的減少讓它們難以熬過嚴(yán)寒，才有了同類相殘的悲劇，罪魁禍?zhǔn)资侨驓夂蜃兣?/p>
導(dǎo)致全球變暖的氣體主要是二氧化碳，此外還包括甲烷、臭氧等，在地球的生態(tài)系統(tǒng)中，二氧化碳的自然產(chǎn)生與自然吸收始終保持一種平衡，但是由于化石燃料的燃燒過程中產(chǎn)生的二氧化碳不斷地釋放到大氣中，使二氧化碳含量增加，阻止了地面熱量向空中散發(fā)，因而使地面溫度升高，造成溫室效應(yīng)。溫室效應(yīng)所產(chǎn)生的危害影響是深遠(yuǎn)的：它會(huì)導(dǎo)致冰川融化，引起海平面上升，威脅到臨海國(guó)家和島國(guó)的生存；改變自然生態(tài)，減弱大氣經(jīng)向環(huán)流，改變降水分部，干旱和蟲害加劇。

鏡頭深入一個(gè)山洞，露出大熊貓大大的一張臉，大熊貓懷中抱著小熊貓，如同母親懷里抱著自己的寶寶，溫馨的畫面。六月的非洲異常干旱，極度干渴的象群和獅群共同想用一個(gè)小小的水坑，夜晚來臨，大象變得危險(xiǎn)起來，最終一頭脫離象群的大象被獅群攻擊，獅群享用這份大分量的美餐。大熊貓?jiān)谖覈?guó)屬于國(guó)寶級(jí)動(dòng)物，數(shù)量已經(jīng)十分稀少，而性格一向溫和的大象同樣面臨著數(shù)量逐漸減少的危險(xiǎn)。
據(jù)英國(guó)《衛(wèi)報(bào)》報(bào)道，從2000年到2009年短短十年間，從中華白鰭豚到圣赫勒拿島紅杉，因?yàn)檫^度的獵捕和開采，棲息地喪失，氣候變化，污染以及人類活動(dòng)，一些已經(jīng)在野生環(huán)境中消亡或者宣告徹底滅絕。在自然界還有許多瀕臨滅絕的物種，盡管人們知道它們?yōu)l臨滅絕，但是出于謀取經(jīng)濟(jì)暴力等的目的，仍然進(jìn)行著獵捕和殺害：非洲叢林象的象牙是偷獵者垂涎的，殺死一只大象可為偷獵者帶來數(shù)千英鎊的暴力；淡水豚的數(shù)量非常少，水質(zhì)污染和獵捕對(duì)其數(shù)量影響十分嚴(yán)重，我國(guó)的揚(yáng)子豚已于2006年滅絕，是50年來滅絕的第一種哺乳動(dòng)物。這讓我想起一些奢侈的吃消費(fèi)：魚翅，是由鯊魚魚鰭干燥加工而成，價(jià)格不菲，人們將鯊魚捕獲，殘忍的將其身上的魚鰭切割下來，然后再將鯊魚扔回水中，鯊魚不能游，不能呼吸，最后死在水中。一條鯊魚只取其身上極小的一部分，鯊魚卻要因?yàn)檫@小小的一部分而喪命；同樣的，燕窩是極奢侈的補(bǔ)品，金絲燕用唾液建筑盡美的巢穴，人們將其巢穴拿走換取大把的鈔票，失去巢穴的金絲燕不得不再建，如此循環(huán)，直到金絲燕吐血筑巢而死。
森林里的生長(zhǎng)比賽，植物為了獲得充足的陽(yáng)光，必須努力不停的生長(zhǎng)，最終那些優(yōu)先占有較高位置的植物形成層層樹葉層，光線被一級(jí)級(jí)的削弱；但在潮濕的地方卻生長(zhǎng)出了獨(dú)具形態(tài)的菌類，并因此成為一個(gè)生物鏈的起點(diǎn)。森林是陸地生態(tài)的主題，也是陸地上最大、最理想的物種基因庫(kù)，據(jù)測(cè)算，進(jìn)入20世紀(jì)90年代以來，每年約有13萬~15萬平方千米的熱帶雨林變成荒地，非洲的熱帶雨林只剩下原來的三分之一。據(jù)世界自然保護(hù)基金會(huì)估計(jì)，全球的森林正以每年2%的速度消失。草構(gòu)成了草原的主體，自然的氣候變化使干燥的草原引發(fā)一場(chǎng)來勢(shì)迅猛的大火，然而大火后，草能夠迅速恢復(fù)生機(jī)重新生長(zhǎng)，維持草原的生態(tài)系統(tǒng)。
生物多樣性是一個(gè)地區(qū)內(nèi)基因、物種和生態(tài)系統(tǒng)多樣性的總和，從極地到赤道，物種的豐富程度呈增加趨勢(shì)，熱帶雨林幾乎包含了世界一半以上的物種，在自然地理形成過程中意義重大：生物多樣性提供食物、藥物和部分工業(yè)原料；具有景觀、文化教育和科學(xué)研究等方面的價(jià)值；能防止水土流失、土地沙化等多種自然災(zāi)害；具有清潔環(huán)境等作用。生物多樣性遭遇的破壞主要原因是生態(tài)環(huán)境的破壞，森林砍伐，過度利用，不合理的耕作方式和獵捕，工業(yè)化和城市化的發(fā)展，外來物種的入侵等等。生物多樣性是脆弱的，極易受到破壞。

戈壁的干季，水的缺乏引發(fā)了空前的動(dòng)物大遷移，象群在母象的引領(lǐng)下尋找記憶中的水源，一頭小象和象群走散，等待它的將是殘酷的命運(yùn)。經(jīng)過幾周的旅行，遷移的動(dòng)物終于找到了沼澤水源。之前的極度干旱和此時(shí)的碧水藍(lán)天形成了強(qiáng)烈的畫面對(duì)比，動(dòng)物的喜悅在此時(shí)被加強(qiáng)以渲染。
水是重要的環(huán)境因素，是地球生物的生命之源，是地球能量、物質(zhì)循環(huán)與生物新陳代謝的主要介質(zhì)。天然水中97.3%以上是難以被直接利用的海水，余下的淡水資源分部于高山冰冠、極地冰川、江河、湖泊和地下水中。目前人類直接利用的淡水資源大部分取自河流、淡水湖泊和淺層地下水中，其總量?jī)H占世界天然水總儲(chǔ)量的1%左右，地球上可利用的淡水資源是相當(dāng)有限的。由于水資源補(bǔ)給主要來源是大氣降水、地表徑流和地下徑流，它們具有隨機(jī)性和周期性，在地區(qū)分布上不均衡，因此缺水是一個(gè)長(zhǎng)時(shí)期的歷史問題。
水資源在開發(fā)利用中會(huì)出現(xiàn)各種各樣的環(huán)境問題，使河流、湖泊面積日益縮小，地下水日益枯竭，造成水體污染。人們?nèi)粘Ｉ钪挟a(chǎn)生的各種污水，工業(yè)廢水，農(nóng)業(yè)生產(chǎn)工程中排出的污水以及滲入地下的城市污水正在導(dǎo)致越來越多的水體遭受污染。童年記憶中干凈清澈的小河不再，而是飄滿綠色物體的臭水。水體污染造成的影響也是多方面的：1953——1956年，日本富熊本縣水俁事件。熊本縣水俁港漁民出現(xiàn)中樞神經(jīng)性疾病，研究表明為水俁化肥廠排出的汞侵入魚體，體內(nèi)含汞的魚、貝進(jìn)入人體所致；1955——1972年，日本富山縣神通川流域的骨痛病，由于當(dāng)?shù)鼐用耖L(zhǎng)期引用受金屬鎘污染的河水和稻米，使鎘積存在體內(nèi)損害了腎功能，導(dǎo)致骨骼軟化畸形，周身疼痛，先后死亡200多人。水體污染對(duì)人體健康的危害是直接的；水質(zhì)受到污染會(huì)影響工業(yè)產(chǎn)品的質(zhì)量和產(chǎn)量，造成嚴(yán)重的經(jīng)濟(jì)損失；使用污染的水體灌溉農(nóng)田，會(huì)破壞土壤，影響農(nóng)作物的生長(zhǎng)；水體受到污染會(huì)危及到水生生物的生長(zhǎng)和繁衍，造成水生生物多樣性的減少。

從地球上空看去的黃色區(qū)域，與天空幾乎相接的黃色風(fēng)暴，無邊無垠的黃色沙漠，蛇將身體藏入沙土中，鏡頭拉近，可以看到如細(xì)雨般落下的沙粒，甚至可以聽到沙落的聲音。一片黃色的背景下，一頭駱駝孤獨(dú)的站立著，在沙漠的熱氣浪流中只能看到大概的輪廓。
沙漠的形成是自然長(zhǎng)期作用的結(jié)果，陸地的表面大約30%部分是沙漠，此處我們探討的主題并不是沙漠，而是沙漠讓我想起的荒漠化?；哪且粋€(gè)全球性的環(huán)境問題，被列為全球十大環(huán)境問題之一。20世紀(jì)80年代非洲撒哈拉地區(qū)發(fā)生的大災(zāi)荒，就是荒漠化所引起的最引人注目的一次環(huán)境災(zāi)難，難民的悲慘景象震驚了全世界。從1991年底為聯(lián)合國(guó)環(huán)境與發(fā)展大會(huì)所準(zhǔn)備的報(bào)告的評(píng)估結(jié)果來看，全球沙漠化面積已從1984年的34.92億公頃增加到1991年的35.92億公頃，約占全球陸地面積的1/4，已影響到全世界1/6的人口（約9億人），100多個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)。遭受沙漠化影響最嚴(yán)重的國(guó)家依次是中國(guó)、阿富汗、蒙古、巴基斯坦和印度，從受荒漠化影響的人口的分布情況看，亞洲是世界上受荒漠化影響的人口分布最集中的地區(qū)。
荒漠化是自然因素和人為因素綜合作用的結(jié)果，自然因素主要指異常的氣候條件，人為因素主要指的是過度放牧、過度農(nóng)墾、過度樵采、水資源利用不當(dāng)及工礦建設(shè)破壞植被，使地表裸露?；哪挠绊懞臀：Φ纳钸h(yuǎn)性在于它所摧毀的是人類賴以生存的土地和環(huán)境，直接威脅人類社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的基礎(chǔ)和空間，使農(nóng)牧業(yè)減產(chǎn)，影響地區(qū)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展，增加大氣塵土，引發(fā)沙塵災(zāi)害，因此，荒漠化被成為“地球之癌”。
以上所述的全球變暖、生物多樣性減少、水污染、荒漠化只是我們所面臨的眾多環(huán)境問題中的一小部分，事實(shí)上，我們的環(huán)境問題已經(jīng)形成了一個(gè)龐大的體系，主要由環(huán)境污染和生態(tài)破壞兩大部分組成：環(huán)境污染包括有大氣污染、水污染、固體廢棄物污染以及其他污染；而生態(tài)破壞主要有植被的破壞、水土流失、荒漠化、氣候變化、臭氧層破壞和生物多樣性銳減。1987年7月11日，南斯拉夫一個(gè)男孩的降生成了世界各大新聞機(jī)構(gòu)爭(zhēng)相報(bào)道的消息，這個(gè)男孩就是地球上第50億位公民。世界人口的大爆炸，日益嚴(yán)峻的環(huán)境問題，都將是我們?cè)?1世紀(jì)迫切需要解決的問題。近期上映的《2012》是時(shí)下人們關(guān)注的電影，關(guān)于世界末日的預(yù)言在電影中被真實(shí)的勾畫；美國(guó)科學(xué)家測(cè)定2036年將會(huì)有行星撞擊地球，科學(xué)家們甚至提出了幾種預(yù)防該行星撞擊及延續(xù)人類文明的方法。在我看來，無論地球的末日是哪一天，也不論人類的毀滅形式是哪一種，活在當(dāng)下的我們，都應(yīng)該認(rèn)真的去解決現(xiàn)在的問題，用理智的思維和長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)的眼光。
對(duì)于環(huán)境問題，我們確實(shí)也已經(jīng)作出了很多的努力和嘗試，各國(guó)出臺(tái)的環(huán)境保護(hù)的法律法規(guī)，世界性的環(huán)境保護(hù)組織與峰會(huì)，國(guó)際性的環(huán)境保護(hù)項(xiàng)目，新能源的不斷開發(fā)與應(yīng)用……人與自然是和諧統(tǒng)一的整體，人不能凌駕于自然之上，事實(shí)上，人類的每一次對(duì)自然的傷害，自然都給予了嚴(yán)厲的反擊，樹立的正確的行星地球觀，從每個(gè)人做起，從身邊做起，我們的藍(lán)色星球需要每個(gè)公民的呵護(hù)和關(guān)愛。

This is a fairytale whose distribution volume is only second to The Bible. It’s been translated to versions of many other languages. And I gather there must be something special, something really great about it. It’s this conviction that drove me to read it at the first beginning. Well, with due respect to the author, I failed to see how this fairytale be worthy of our attention, despite the fact that many readers claimed this book to be designed for adults.
Anyway, as a well-acknowledged book, it must possess unique feature to maintain it’s position. And it’s reputation and popularity will by no means be destroyed by what an unknown man says. I will talk about the main contents of the book, and the inspiration it renders as usual.
This book mainly tells us the experience of a prince from a tiny planet, who traveled to many other planets and finally came to the earth and met the pilot in a desert. The prince and the pilot became good friends, and the pilot gradually got to know the feeling and experience of his friend. Before he came to the earth, little prince had been to other 6 little planets where he made acquaintance with some strange people. The first man he met was a king on a little planet, yet he claimed to be the king of the space and ridiculously justified his unshakable governance over all. The second person was a man of vanity, who enjoyed compliments of any form without considering whether it’s sincere or not. The third person was an alcoholic who tried to forget the fact that he’s addicted to acohol by drinking like a fish. The fourth person was an abosolute money-oriented businessman, who cared nothing but his fortune. Next came the lamp-lighter who performed his duty blindly. The last one was a geographer who knew too much about geography to solve a real problem related to it. These six people each represented one kind of person like us. The authorsatirized people’s conceit, emptiness, fakeness, innocence and blindness through the tone of a child.
I see eye to eye with the author in that the cause of people’s loneliness can be concluded to the negligence of the bonds that connects them. People are supposed to care about each other, cherish what’s really important for them, and be grateful for the happiness that they’ve gained. We all believe knowledge and experience enable us to see clearly and make right judgements all the time. But we may sometimes lose the right to speak straighforwardly, think creatively or love courageously resulting from what we’ve experienced. That why in our middle school textbooks, it’s the little kid that breaks the illusion of the emperor by saying ”but mum, he ain’t were anything”.
When I was a child, I was definitely a good boy who went home on time after school and did his homework and never tried anything without mom’s permission. And now I am a grown-up, and still I am a good man, at least, that’s what I heard. Sometimes when I was lonely and I began to think about my childhood, then all the happiness and care-free life came back to me as it were yesterday. Kids that once accompanied me during my childhood now become fathers and mothers of their kids and I myself am a child no more. Thinking about all these things have made me moody. There’re changes happening in our lives whether we are happy about it or not.
People told me life is a journey which will never stop once it’s started. What’s left behind are happiness and sorrow, pride and shame, success and regret. There’s good old time to reminisce and there’s sad hours that reminds us of the pain. Your feeling makes them real, and you know you lived.
I want to conclude by saying some positive words that each yestersday used to be today, and each today is the future of yesterday, so making the most of today is the best way to cherish your lives. Our mortal beings are doomed to die. It’s not sad, instead, death it’s just a process of our lives. After all, we’ve lived our lives and it’s what we do and how we think that determine who we are.

From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd.Then he enter earth and found thousands of roses alike.The little prince discovers that his rose is not the only ,plenty of her kind are everywhere, but then he realizes that his rose is special because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen . Then he fall across the fox.She teaches the prince It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye
What impresses me the most is the fox’s words.love is a strange stuff.Sometimes we see it but can’t grasp it.Yet, true love may be, to some extent, invisible in surface but may last permanent.Apart from love, others as well.Indeed,sometimes what we consider right turn out to be wrong,what we consider real proves fictitious,what we confused may just turn out to be the truth.The path In searching for truth may long and time-consuming,we should harbour conviction,b will and high hope.No matter what barriade in front of us,we ought to be couragous and face up to the challenge.

I think the Little Prince This book is a family book, in this book, I can feel that for whom fame for modern day busy round, but not know they have a deep impact on the younger generation, small Prince did not understand why adults want to do that? So I felt, how many more to understand the needs of children, and is no longer a random perfunctory, more children to learn about the ideas, interests, rather than restraint.

Once when I was six years old, I saw a magnificent picture in a book,called True Stories from Nature, about the primeval forest. It was a picture of a boa constrictor in the act of swallowing an animal. Here is a copy of the drawing.
In the book it said:" Boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. After that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the six months that they need for digestion."
I pondered deeply, then, over the adventures of the jungle. And after some work with a colored pencil I succeeded in making my first drowing,My Drawing Number One. It looked like this:
I showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them.
But they answered:"Frighten? Why should any one be frightened by a hat?"
My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. But since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, I made another drawing: I drew the inside of the boa constrictor,so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. They always need to have things explained. My Drawing Number Two looked like this:
The grown-ups response,this time, was to adviseme to lay aside my drawing of boa constrictors,whether from the inside or the outside and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and grammar. That is why, at the age of six, I gave up what might have been a magnificent career as a painter. I had been disheartened by the failure of my Drawing Number One and my Drawing Number Two. So then I chose another profession, and learned to pilot airplanes.

In the course of this life I have had a great many encounters with a great many people who have been concerned with matters of consequence. I have lived a great deal among grown-ups. I have seen them intimately, close at hand. And hasn't much improved my opinion of them.
Whenever Imet one of them who seemed to me at all clearsighted, I tried the experiment of showing him my Drowing Number One. which I have always kept. I would try to find out, so, if this was a person of true understanding. But, whoever it was, he ,or she, would always say:
"That is a hat."
Then I would never talkto that people about boa constrictors, or primeval forest, or stars. I would bring myself down to his level. I would talk to him about bridge, and golf, and politics, and neckties. And the grown-ups would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible man.

he even see forty-three times sunset in a day to make himself feel better. his life turned to a new appearance when a beautiful rose came out. she is a flower with proud, when her lie was exposed by the little prince, she felt embarrassed. the small misunderstanding between them made the little prince determined to leave the planet he lived on.

The fourth planet belonged to a businessman, He was very busy, The fifth planet was very strange. It was the smallest of all. There was just enough room for a street lamp and a lamplighter. The planet revolves once a minute. The lamplighter must light his lamp and turn it out once every minute. The sixth planet was ten times bigger than the last.
It was in habited by an old gentleman who wrote enormous books. The seventh planet was the earth. The earth is not just another planet. It contains one hundered and eleven kings seven thousand geographers nine hundered thousand businessmen saven and ahalf million drun kards three-hundered eleven million vain-men.
It makes me understand. The grow-ups aways need explanations. The gorw-ups like talk about bridge and golt and politics and neckties. Grow-ups like numbers,too. When you tellthem about a new friend,they never ask questions about what really matters. They never ask: What does his voice sound like?’ What games does he like best?’ “Does he collect butterflies?” They ask :“How old is he?” “How many blothers does he have?” “How much money does his father make?”
Read the book, I understand some principle. One sees clearly only with the heart, Anything essential is invisible to the eyes. It’s the time you spent on someone that makes somebody so important.

The Little Prince is a tale for both children and adults. The Little Prince is the story of a man who crashes his airplane into the desert only to meet a traveling boy from a small planet. The boy inquires about trees and sheep, shares his journeys and various encounters, and then leaves. Yet, reading between the lines, the story offers a much more complex, eiching, satisfying and eye-opening moral: what matters in life is love - and caring about someone or something and maintaining that relationship. The prince loves his rose enough to care for it every night by protecting it with a glass globe and requesting a muzzle for his sheep. He knows that the rose is naive with only four purposeless thorns and, out of his loyalty to her, it is his duty to protect her. Likewise, the narrator loves the prince and feels an obligation to secure his safe journey home.
I read this book as a child and was infected with a sense of awe and a newfound respect for the written word and its power to touch, heal and change perception. For myself, it accomplished two things; it instilled in me a desire to one day become a writer and touch others with my words and like the narrator of the story, and Antoine De Saint-Exupery (whose own plane crash is said to have been the basis for the tale) it instilled within me a hope that one day the Little Prince will return and someone will let me know.
What is the meaning of this tale? Easily saying is that the tale talk about many normal things like morals and principles and values from two different but successive way as children and adults. As the narrator said you can only catch adults’ attention by describing the price of something or saying the number of something. It’s hard to make adults feel lovely by the children’s beautiful describing. That is the reason why many adults believe this tale is a tale for adults.
Being insincere and utilitarian, adults consider useful and kids think sinful. Free spirit and free heart, adults consider absurd and children believe necessary. The amazing point is that these two different beliefs are held by one species--Human. When we were young, we could see anything God want us to see. But after decades, what we could see was only something we need to see.
There are so many good things for children and their imagination. And there are not so many things for adults and their reality.
