Topic:diligence
The cartoon aims at informing us of the significance of diligence. Definitely, no once can deny the importance of it. diligence enables us to achieve our objectives more smoothly and realize our dreams more rapidly. The more diligent we are , the more likely we are to accumulate experience, master skills, discover and kill off our shortcomings and create more opportunities. To further illustrate the importance of being diligent, I would like to take Michael Jordan as a case in point: how could he, one of the greatest basketball player throughout the history of mankind who was once deemed unsuitable for playing this game, achieve unprecedented success in NBA?
Accordingly, at no time should we underestimate the power of diligence. Furthermore, when coming with setbacks and bottlenecks, instead of giving up easily, what we must do is to stick to our goals and faith, tell ourselves that all efforts and diligence will be paid off. “good luck appears only when you are diligent enough.” Barack Obama also once said.
Henry Ford
although henry ford's name is closely associated with the concept of mass production, he should receive equal credit for introducing labor practices as early as 1913 that would be considered advanced even by today's standards. safety measures were improved, and the work day was reduced to eight hours, compared with the ten-or twelve-hour day common at the time. in order to accommodate the shorter work day, the entire factory was converted from two to three shifts.
in addition, sick leaves as well as improved medical care for those injured on the job were instituted. the ford motor company was one of the first factories to develop a technical school to train specialized skilled laborers and an english language school for immigrants. some efforts were even made to hire the handicapped and provide jobs for former convicts.
the most widely acclaimed innovation was the five-dollar-a-day minimum wage that was offered in order to recruit and retain the best mechanics and to discourage the growth of labor unions. ford explained the new wage policy in terms of efficiency and profit sharing. he also mentioned the fact that his employees would be able to purchase the automobiles that they produced -- in effect creating a market for the product. in order to qualify for the minimum wage, an employee had to establish a decent home and demonstrate good personal habits, including sobriety, thriftiness, industriousness, and dependability. although some criticism was directed at ford for involving himself too much in the personal lives of his employees, there can be no doubt that, at a time when immigrants were being taken advantage of in frightful ways, henry ford was helping many people to establish themselves in america.
Ya'an City
There was an earthquake in Ya’an at about 8 o’clock on April 20, 2013. Many houses fell down. 192 people were killed and more than10,000 people were hurt. After the earthquake, the doctors, nurses, firemen and volunteers from all over the country hurried to the scene and tried to cure the survivors. Some businesses donated many things such as clothes, food, water and medicine to the local people. Some pop stars organized charity shows to raise money. The local government took action actively to search for more lost people and helped them out of sadness. I hope the people there can cheer up and rebuild their homes as soon as possible. We must try our best to help them.

Making plans
The cartoon aims at informing us of the significance of making plans. Definitely, no once can deny the importance of it. Making plan will enable us to achieve our objectives more smoothly and realize their dreams more rapidly. The more detailed plan we make , the more likely we are to make full use of time, enhance our work efficiency make full preparation in advance for unexpected cases. To further demonstrate the importance of making plans, I would like to take CEO as a case in point, how could a CEO, the head and decision-maker of a corporation , deal with all sorts of complicated things smoothly if he fails to draw up a detailed plan for routine work ?
Accordingly, on no account should we overlook the power of plans. Furthermore, we should draw up detailed plans before we start to do anything and do things as planned . ““He who fails to plan, plans to fail.” A famous philosopher also once said.

In the picture, we are amazed to find that the god of death is sitting maliciously on a bus whose driver dozed off while driving. It clearly tells us that in the domain of transportation, there are hidden dangers everywhere should we become careless.
Traffic accidents have long been a problem since the invention of automobiles, and are becoming an increasingly severe problem because of the boom of population, as well as the mass production of all forms of automobiles. There are more reasons for this issue. Firstly, many truck drivers are forced to drive days and nights with little rest simply because their employers desire more profit. Secondly, a lot of citizens drive after drinking alcohol, reacting slowly when encountering emergency. Thirdly, quite a number of young people enjoy acceleration, but their limited driving skills frequently lead to tragedies.
Judging from the analysis above, we may safely come to the conclusion that the daunting problem demands effective counter-measures. Most importantly, the government needs to implement sufficiently relevant laws and regulations in order to strengthen inspection. In addition, all residents should be aware of the hidden dangers in transportation and insist in keeping alert whenever driving.
