Beijing time, in the early morning of August 5th, Sun Yang defend title successfully with the score of 14 points 41 seconds 15 in 2013 swimming world championships men's 1500 meter freestyle finals. This is the third gold medal in this tournament for Sun Yang as well as the fifth goal of China’s swimming, which is slower 10 second 13 than the result of the London Olympic Games when Sun Yang achieves the champion. Sun Yang uses the score of his fifth goal in his career life to tie with the medal record that Luo Xuejuan keeps in the Chinese swimmer World Championship. Born on December 1, 1991 in Zhejiang Province, Sun Yang is very tall and the height is 1.99 meters. He was from a sports family.
He won the China's first gold medal in men's swimming game. He worked a miracle. Sun Yang is not only gifted but also diligent. He keeps training and has tenacious willpower; these are worth learning by other people. Sun Yang is a new frontrunner at the sports worlds.
Sun Yang is very popular with the young. He is adorable, charming, childlike and cool. He is kind and has the vigor of youth, and he is a little shy. After graduating from Zhejiang University he has concentrated on long-distance freestyle swimming. Besides winning two gold medals in London Olympic Games. he even eventually achieved his goal of becoming champions in men’s 400m 800m and 1500m freestyle events in the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona. At the same time together with his teammates he also won the third place in the men’s 4x200 meters freestyle relay in the Barcelona World Championships.
What’s more Sun Yang was awarded the best male swimmer of 2013 World Championships becoming the first Asian swimmer to win such an award in history.

Sun overhauled South Korean rival Park Tae-hwan who had been reinstated into the final after being disqualified for a false start in his morning heat.
Defending champion Park had led for most of the race before Sun overtook him just after the final turn and went on to win.
Peter Vander kay was third with Great Britain's David Carry 30 in seventh.
Carry is the oldest member of Team GB's swimming squad and said: "What a feeling. I can't believe it.
"A year ago I set myself the target of reaching the Olympic final. There have been some rocky patches. To have this awesome support behind me was fantastic."
Sun was on world record pace in the final 50 metres and although he narrowly missed out on that mark he did break Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe's Olympic record.
